After a long hiatus and an arduous test of our resolve, we are pleased to announce that Café Bloodthirsty is effectively back from the dead. We are, at long last, presently securing a small venue where our growing family of deviants shall begin to take root. Until then, we will endeavour to foster a community of creative, eccentric and open-minded ilk, including but not limited to artists, musicians, performers and merchants of all things macabre, mystical and queer. We are eternally grateful for your patience and support as we steadily bring our vision to life. Our blood now flows anew thanks to you.

Blessed Friday The 13th Celebrating The Divine Feminine Considered to be the "Day Of The Goddess ," Friday The 13th celebrates the Divine Feminine and is said to bring about good fortune. Friday is the day of the week that celebrates Venus, the goddess of love, sensuality, and fertility. The Latin term for Friday is "dies Veneris," which translates to "Day of Venus." Ancient Germans referred to Friday as "Frīġedæġ," the Roman counterpart for Venus; in these cultures, Fridays were a day in which women were celebrated and honoured. The 13 annual phases of the moon are also representative of the Divine Feminine. The recent negative or "unlucky" connotations surrounding the number 13 are thought to derive from its associations with womanhood.

Welcoming October "Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness," as W B Yeats once so fittingly described it, Autumn is a time of year associated with the harvesting of crops, when the air turns crisp and the ground is showered with vibrant reds and oranges from fallen leaves. It is the period between the Autumnal Equinox—marking the time when day and night are of equal length—and the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year. In Greek mythology, Autumn began when Persephone was abducted by Hades to be the queen of the Underworld. In distress, Persephone's mother, Demeter (Goddess Of The Harvest), caused all the crops on Earth to die until her daughter was allowed to return, marking the beginning of Spring.
